Week of April 27-May 1, 2015

Falcons we have finally gone over the STAAR hurdle but this does not mean that we can sit back and relax.  We still have lots of work to do and a lot more to learn.  I am looking forward to the following weeks of school because we will finally be able to finish "The Chocolate War" by Robert Cormier.  I have lots of activities and lessons ready for all of you. 

Agriculture/Horticulture we still have lots to learn about plants and their functions.  We will continue to work in our garden.  We now have two gardens to keep up.

April 20-24, 2015

Falcons we have arrived to that big moment in the sky! STAAR Exams start this week.  Falcons I am certain that all of you will SOAR above the STAAR. I am confident that all of you will pass both the Math and Reading STAAR Exam.  I am confident that all of you will get academic performance.  It is time to show yourselves that all the hard work and dedication has proven to be worth all the hours of studying, complaining, and whining.  You are all now ready to SHINE and SOAR above all the rest.  I know you all can do it!

Week of April 13-17, 2015

Falcons we are going into the last stretch of getting prepared for STAAR.  This week we are going to go over all tested TEKS for reading by working on 3 practice exams.  I have every confidence that everyone will SOAR above everyone else.

Start asking teachers if you need to make up any work because this is the last week of the 5th Six Weeks.

April 7-11, 2015

Students welcome back from Easter break.  This will be our last holiday for the year.  We will be working vey hard now until school ends.  We will continue to read The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier. We have found out that Archie Costello is the one that holds the power for the Vigils.  Jerry Renault is trying to find purpose in his life.  The Goob is feeling guilty for what has happened to Brother Eugene and Archie thinks it is "beautiful."

Horticulture/Agriculture students are keeping up with their plants and garden.  I want to thank all the students that have gotten involved in our project.

This week:
Honors Literature: We will continue to read The Chocolate Wars and stories from the basal to review literary elements and reading strategies needed to become good readers.

Horticulture/Agriculture: We will continue to work in our garden.
